last night my boyfriend and i spent the evening sitting in one of our
windows in the livingroom (together, same window). there was a
thunderstorm rolling through; wind, rain, lightning... it was a nice
change of pace - better than sitting in front of the TV, and probably just
as exciting/interesting, if not more so.
'hey, what did you do last night?'
'oh, nothing much. just sat in my window for a few hours staring at the
community.'
.....
as enjoyable and relaxing as it was, it's mildly amusing when you think
about it.
*side note: our windows are 4ft wide, 8ft tall and start at about waist
height

do you know i'm going to be 30 and i still have two great grandparents
alive?
sorta. my grandmother's parents were divorced and remarried when i was
little, or before i was born (dunno which!). my grandmother's parents have
passed away, but their spouses are still alive.
isn't that cool? i mean, it's not 'blood' but they've been together since
i was wee little girl, so they're like family.
